N.S. man driving car killed in crash with transport truck on Highway 104

Police say the fatal accident occurred Tuesday night on Highway 104 in Antigonish County when a westbound truck and an eastbound passenger car collided.

The 24-year-old driver of the passenger car, a man from West Bay, N.C., died at the scene.

The 30-year-old Ontario man driving the truck suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital.

The highway was closed for several hours, but is now open, police said, adding that “a collision reconstructionist is working at the scene and the investigation is ongoing.”
